AP Ignores Brady Gun Prez's Call For Mexican Gun Laws in US

You would think it would be newsworthy when the head of the biggest control lobbying group calls for the U.S. to adopt Mexican gun laws in order to aid the Mexican government in its war on the drug cartels. However, even with an AP reporter in attendance, no mention of the remark has hit the MSM. See video below:

It's pretty obvious that a lot of people on the left would love to use the crisis on our southern border to spur on substantive gun control legislation. If we've learned nothing else about the Obama administration, they firmly believe that "you never want a serious crisis to go to waste."

It just befuddles me that nobody on the Left or in Mexico has struck on the idea of building a fence...a real humdinger of a fence...along the U.S./Mexico border, then patrolling the heck out of it. That way, Americans get to keep their 2nd Amendment rights and the Mexican's get to have drug cartels with less fire power.

In other words, a win/win for both nations. That is, of course, unless you're an American liberal gun grabber.

I would love to see a fence and some of our Natl Guard on the border!

See we just need to make the handguns MORE illegal, that'll fix everything....

from http://www.stoppingpower.net/commentary/comm_cop_killers.asp

Predominately handguns were used in the assaults on officers and all but one were obtained illegally, usually in street transactions or in thefts. In contrast to media myth, none of the firearms in the study was obtained from gun shows.

The real problem is, the people who are intent on breaking the law, aren't going to obey the gun laws either. It's like that silly sign at my place of employment, Gun Free Zone. How stupid is that. I can just see a person intent on murderous violence getting up to the door, and saying, "Well, dang. I guess I might as well go home."
